Work visas are for persons who want to enter the Philippines for employment lasting a fixed period and are not considered permanent or indefinite.

Getting a Philippines work visa begins with an application for an AEP from the Department of Labor and Employment.

The employer or the prospective employee can file this application in the Philippines.

In the latter case, the applicant can apply for a tourist visa in the country of origin, duly sponsored by the employer.

The employer also sponsors the application for a work visa or can approach an accredited Bureau of Immigration agent.
