A foreign national whose stay will surpass fifty-nine (59) days should secure extensions of stay with the Bureau of Immigration.
REQUIREMENTS
The foreign national, an allowed representative, and/or accredited agents shall present the complete documentary requirements as below:
- Original Passport.
- A duly accomplished application form.
- Statement for overstaying/updating the reason of stay for over six (6) months.

APPLICATION FORM
- Secure the Application form from the BI Main Office or the official website.
STEP 2
SUBMISSION
- Submit the filled-out application form and attachments together with the passport to the immigration officer.
STEP 3
VERIFICATION
- If the applicant has no derogatory records, it shall issue a BI Clearance Certificate.
- Otherwise, the applicant must secure Clearance from the verification and Clearance unit.
STEP 4
PAYMENT
- Get the Order of Payment Slip and advance to the cashier for payment.
- Collect the Official payment receipt.
STEP 5
Submission and Collection
- Submit the Official Receipt with the application form, attachments and passport to the receiving/assessment Officer.
- Claim the passport stamped with the applied extension of stay.
