9G PRE-ARRANGED EMPLOYEE NON-COMMERCIAL VISA
The 9g pre-arranged non-commercial visa is for the foreign nationals engaged in the medical mission, missionary, social, rehabilitation work, etc.
Also known as a missionary visa.
A locally registered company that is committed to the project can be the petitioner of visa.
Note that the foreign national must not engage in any other activities that generate income, or compensation from the local company.
REQUIREMENTS FOR 9G PRE-ARRANGED EMPLOYEE NON-COMMERCIAL VISA
The local Company, and allowed representative, and/or accredited agents shall present the complete documentary requirements as below:
- Letter of request addressed to the Commissioner from the applicant and the petitioner.
- Duly Notarized Application form.
- Photocopy of passport bio-page and latest admission with valid, authorized stay.
- Photocopy of Employment Contract, Secretary’s Certificate of Election, Appointment or Assignment of the applicant, or equivalent document
- For Corporations or Partnerships, photocopies of: i. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Certificate of Registration; ii. Articles of Incorporation; iii. General Information Sheet (GIS) for the current year stamped received by the SEC;
- For Single Proprietorships, photocopies of [i]. Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Certificate of Registration of Business Name; [ii]. Mayor’s Permit;
- Photocopy of Alien Employment Permit (AEP) issued by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE); and the actual publication of the applicant’s approved AEP or newspaper.
- Notarized certification of the number of foreign and Filipino employees from the petitioning company
- Accredited Liaison/Agent
- Guarantee Letter
PROCESSING PERIOD
- The Processing time along with the Alien Employment Permit takes between 2-3 months to complete.
VALIDITY
- A 9 (G) non-commercial is valid for 1-3 years and one can extend up to three years at a time, resting on the term of the employment contract.
- The foreign national can also extend this visa multiple times.
The validity, however, cannot surpass the term granted following the AEP issued by the DOLE.
EXTENSION OF 9G PRE-ARRANGED EMPLOYEE NON-COMMERCIAL VISA
Foreign nationals who are existing holders of a Pre-arranged Employee–Non-Commercial Visa and prefer to proceed to their missionary, social, medical mission, or rehabilitation work, in the Philippines.
For visa extension, the same biometric data previously captured during the 9g Visa conversion applies, hence no further need for capturing.
One can renew the 9g application two months before the expiration.

- Passport.
- ACR card.
- Photocopies of I-cards (back to back)
- Alien Employment Permit card
- Newspaper.
